Men’s Tour of Flanders 2024 Route:
This year, the Tour of Flanders kicks off in Antwerp and introduces a safer route, featuring major roads and a new approach to the challenging Koppenberg climb, 45km before the finish. The race spans 270.8km with 17 tough, mostly cobbled climbs.
The action heats up halfway through at 136km with the Oude Kwaremont climb, the longest in the race. Following this, racers face a series of cobbled climbs, offering little respite. Notably, the Oude Kwaremont and Paterberg climbs are crucial, especially when tackled again with just 20km to go, setting the stage for decisive race moments.
The Paterberg is particularly steep, with a 12.9% gradient. The race concludes with a flat sprint to Oudenaarde, where the final battle for victory unfolds if no rider has broken away.

Women’s Tour of Flanders 2024 Route:
The women’s cycling race is different from the men’s. It starts and ends in Oudenaarde, and is shorter by 100km, totaling 163km. Despite being shorter, it’s still tough, with 12 hills and 7 sections of cobblestones.
Right from the start, the course is challenging. There’s a cobblestone part at 9.2km, followed by more at 40km. The first major hill, Wolvenberg, comes at 72km. The second half of the race is full of difficult hills that the cyclists have to get over. These include Molenberg, Marlboroughstraat, Valkenberg, and several others, all packed into an 80km stretch.
Towards the end, with less than 20km to go, they face two big challenges: Oude Kwaremont and Paterberg. Once they’re past Paterberg, it’s a straight, flat race back to Oudenaarde.
