Last time Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) faced off against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2024, SRH won by 25 runs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 15. Batting first after winning the toss, SRH, led by Pat Cummins, smashed the highest IPL score ever, 287/3. Travis Head was the star, hammering 102 runs off 41 balls, including eight sixes.
He put on a 108-run opening stand with Abhishek Sharma, who made 34 off 22 balls. Heinrich Klaasen also blitzed 67 runs in just 31 balls, while Abdul Samad and Aiden Markram finished unbeaten on 37 and 32, respectively.
Chasing the massive total, RCB put up a strong fight scoring 262/7. Their captain, Faf du Plessis, and Virat Kohli kicked things off with an 80-run opening partnership. Du Plessis scored a quick 62, and Kohli contributed 42.
Dinesh Karthik stood out with a fiery 83 off 35 balls. In the end, though, RCB fell short. Pat Cummins led the bowling attack for SRH, taking 3 wickets for 43 runs, and Mayank Markande also chipped in with two wickets.

Winning the toss and opting to bat, SRH posted a strong total of 266/7 in their 20 overs. Travis Head led the charge with a blistering 89 off 32 balls, including six sixes and 11 fours. Abhishek Sharma supported well with a rapid 46 from 12 balls, contributing to a 131-run opening partnership.
Shahbaz Ahmed remained not out with 59 runs from 29 balls, while Nitish Reddy added 37 off 27. Kuldeep Yadav was the standout bowler for DC, taking four wickets. In reply, DC were all out for 199 in 19.1 overs, with Jake Fraser-McGurk hitting 65 off 18 balls.
Rishabh Pant and Abhishek Porel also made notable contributions. T Natarajan excelled with the ball for SRH, taking 4/19, supported by Mayank Markande and Reddy, who each took two wickets.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) narrowly lost to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 1 run in a thrilling last-ball finish at Eden Gardens on April 21. KKR, batting first, set a target of 222/6 with Shreyas Iyer and Phil Salt making significant contributions of 50 and 48 runs, respectively.
Yash Dayal and Cameron Green took two wickets each for RCB. Chasing the target, RCB fell just short, ending at 221 all out. Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar hit half-centuries, scoring 55 and 52 respectively.
Despite late efforts, including three sixes in the final over by Karn Sharma, RCB couldn’t cross the line. Andre Russell was effective with the ball for KKR, picking up 3/25, while Harshit Rana and Sunil Narine took two wickets each.
