Volleyball Nations League (VNL) 2024: Format
The 2024 Volleyball Nations League features 16 teams split into six pools during the preliminary stage, which spans three weeks across different locations. Each team competes in three pools, playing a total of 12 matches. The teams face opponents based on their rankings: one match against teams ranked 1st to 4th, another against those ranked 5th to 8th, and so on, ensuring diverse competition. Following this stage, Thailand and Poland, along with the top seven teams (excluding the hosts), proceed to a four-day direct knockout elimination tournament. One non-core team faces relegation, concluding the event.
