The Foxtel Group has extended its long-term partnership with the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL), securing exclusive broadcasting rights for the tournament in Australia until at least 2027.
The renewed five-year deal will see 74 matches available to Foxtel’s 4.6 million subscribers each season, with potential for growth in the number of IPL games over the term.
This historic agreement follows Foxtel Group’s partnership with Cricket Australia announced in January, which includes rights to all home Men’s and Women’s Tests, Day Internationals, T20is, and the Big Bash League and Women’s Big Bash League matches.
As the most established T20 league in the world, the Tata IPL attracts top international players, including Australia’s cricket stars such as David Warner, Glenn Maxwell, and Josh Hazelwood.
Rebecca McCloy, Foxtel Group Commercial Director – Sport, expressed excitement about the extended partnership, stating that the Tata IPL changed the game fifteen years ago and offers a premier product that intrigues cricket fans globally.
Foxtel Group continues to provide unrivalled cricket offerings for subscribers, with fans able to watch all the big games in one place on FOX Sports.
Cricket enthusiasts can catch every ball of the 2023 Tata IPL tournament live and ad-break-free during play on Foxtel and Kayo Sports, reaffirming Foxtel Group’s commitment to delivering premium international cricket content to its viewers.
