In an impressive weekend for British driver Oliver Bearman, the Ferrari Academy and PREMA Racing driver secured a second victory at the Baku circuit. Adding to his triumph in the Sprint Race the day before, Bearman controlled the Feature Race from the front and claimed a statement win in the Formula 2 rookie’s campaign.
The race saw Red Bull Junior Team Driver Enzo Fittipaldi clinching his first podium of the year in second place, followed by Theo Pourchaire from ART Grand Prix and Sauber Academy.
With a third-place finish, Pourchaire claimed the top spot in the drivers’ standings.

At the beginning of the race, Bearman, who had qualified in the first position, successfully maintained his lead, while Pourchaire quickly overtook Fittipaldi to take second place.
On the third lap, with DRS activated, Pourchaire managed to pass Bearman at Turn 1 and took over the lead. However, Bearman didn’t take long to regain the lead on the very next lap by overtaking Pourchaire at the first corner.

Vesti was the first driver to head to the pit on Lap 7, while Bearman chose to make his stop on Lap 9 while he was still leading the race. Even after rejoining the race, Bearman held onto his effective lead.
At this point, only Hadjar and Iwasa were ahead, and they were still to make their pit stop and were following a different strategy.
