The 2023 F1 Qatar Grand Prix is to experience extremely hot weather at the Lusail International Circuit this weekend.
Given the frequent rain incidents this year, teams need not worry about a wet track due to the typically scorching climate of Qatar. The country usually experiences very high temperatures, and over the next four days, it’s expected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
The hottest day is projected to be Saturday, after which the wind is expected to shift slightly northeast, coming in from the sea, offering a slight cooling effect.

The race weekend will also feature the Sprint format, with the sole free practice session and qualifying taking place on Friday. The free practice session is expected to be held in around 40-degree heat, with noticeable winds that could affect on-track performance.
The rest of the weekend won’t be much cooler. Saturday, in particular, is expected to reach temperatures of 40 to 41 degrees Celsius during the sprint shootout.
